Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung chaired a conference in Hanoi on April 11 to review the 10-years of implementation of the mechanical industry development strategy in Vietnam. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung chairing the conference Attending the Conference were Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang and leaders of relevant agencies. The representative of APAVE Asia – Pacific was Mr.Tran Nam Trung - Deputy General Director. The conference aimed at review outcomes and analyze existing difficulties and obstacles during the process of implementing the strategy in Vietnam, as well as propose innovative solutions to promote stronger growth of mechanical industry in Vietnam. Mr. Tran Nam Trung - Deputy General Director of APAVE Asia – Pacific (left), next to Mr. Nguyen Van Thu, Chairman of Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI)   Mechanical engineering is one of the base industries, which is particularly playing an important role in the nation’s industrialization and modernization process. Vietnamese Mechanical Engineering Industry Development Strategy was approved by the Prime Minister according to Decision No. 186/2002/QD-TTg on December 26, 2002. To implement this strategy, in the last 10 years, Vietnamese mechanical industry had changed and developed, step by step integrate with mechanical industry in the word. So far, the policy system to develop mechanical industry were issued completely. At the first day of the new year, January 01st, 2014, Ca Mau City People's Committee held the commencement ceremony of LIA1 belonging to “Upgrading Mekong delta urban project, Ca Mau city sub– project.   Attending this ceremony were Mr. Ho Trung Viet, Chairman of Ca Mau City People's committee, Mr. Chung Tan Hai - Vice Chairman of Ca Mau City People's committee, Mr. Pham Van Muoi – Chairman of Ca Mau city People's Council, Representatives of State departments of Ca Mau City, the monk Thach Ha, representatives of the community's residents at land-clearance area, representatives of contractors.   Delegation of Apave Asia – Pacific, Supervision Consultancy Contractor, including Mr. Jeorge David Dimalanta – Senior Advisor for this project, Mr. Nguyen The - Technical & Commercial Deputy Director of Head Office, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thuy – Technical & Commercial Manager, APAVE HCM branch.   Mr. Jeorge David Dimalanta APAVE experts   Upgrading Mekong Delta Urban Project is one of the most important State owned Project within programme of upgrading national urban in 2009-2020 which is being developed in 6 cities of Cao Lanh, Ca Mau, Can Tho, My Tho, Tra Vinh and Rach Gia under financial sponsor of World Bank for development from 2012-2017.   The Projects’objectives are to improve environment and sanitary conditions by upgrading the main infrastructure systems such as: transportation, electricity, water supply and drainage, canals dredging, rubbish cleaning, etc and creat more jobs for local people as well as to develop socio-economic of the cities.   Apave Asia – Pacific joins in LIA 1 belonging sub – project Ca Mau city as the role of Supervision Consultancy. Apave’s Board of Directors always pays most attention and follows-up in every steps of the Project with all necessary instructions to our project team. This is not only our obligation but also social and political duty with community to develop and change the overall picture of Mekong Delta region. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quyen was appointed at position of Chief Supervisor for this project.   Representative for APAVE, Mr. Jeorge David Dimalanta had a speech at ceremony “With the best of our knowledge and experiences, Apave Asia - Pacific commits that we will cooperate with Employer and Contractors to complete the Project on schedule, to comply with quality requirements as well as to comply with all statutory requirements of State and World Bank for this Project”.
Although being very busy with the preparation of Ground Breaking Ceremony for the main tunnel – Ca Pass project in the last days, APAVE Asia – Pacific company that representative is Project Management Unit - Ca Pass project has implemented a special working trip, which does not include in “Consutancy Contract”. On December 23, 2013, APAVE representatives visited and gave presents to poor studious pupils of Hoa Xuan Nam Primary School and Le Thanh Ton Secondary School, Hoa Xuan Nam Commune, Dong Hoa, Phu Yen province, the place where  Deo Ca project run through.     There were 33 presents in which, the value of each present is 300.000 VND and 5 millions VND for support in building infrastructure of school. Teachers, pupils were happy and APAVE members felt meaningful and understood more about responsibility towards community that APAVE has done many times and will continue in the furture.
